Developing a plan for reaching your short-term goal
When developing your plan of action, ask yourself the following five questions:
- WHAT am I going to do?
- WHEN am I going to do it?
- HOW am I going to do it?
- WHERE am I going to do it?
- HOW OFTEN am I going to do it?
Don’t forget to think about all potential barriers which may prevent you from reaching your chosen goal. Barriers can make it difficult for you to reach your goal, but planning ahead makes them easier to manage. When developing your plan, don’t leave any steps out, even if you think it’s unimportant at this time.
Finally, come up with some STRATEGIES that will guide you toward your SHORT-TERM goal.
